I have realised that standing out from the crowd is a concept not many of my contemporaries are not conversant with. In fact thy who stands out shall be christened the LOCAL CHILD. well i am going to justify the local things i do;
1. "omg Anna how can you be so mad at the girl over a chocolate-that's some local beef you know!"
Anna: No I dont know, in fact i will hate her the more. See, this is how thievery begins. First the thief steals germs, then they move to staplers and next thing they have robbed the entire world. So what will you say then, that it's okay to hate or that the world seems to get local at the same time?? In fact you girl who stole my Kit Kat, i want it back with interest!!
2. "Anna, do you play video games?"
Anna: No but i could give it a try...
X: Naaah! anywho catch you later i got to get someone that can play!
Honestly, i am trying to forget how cold this statement was. it was by choice that i refused to be part of those weird kids who were mesmerized by some odd graphics at the time. I had dolls to play with and only Cartoon network advertised them...you were saying?? ok that was a bit childish but i mean if we are going to be 5 about it then why should i act 6....i will be goddamn 5 too.
3."Anna, knitted beanies are for maids!"
as for you you need to come out of Mean Girls and see how 2011 turned out. First of all, the programs you are watching, even Madam Bovary watched, but you are talking. and the reference to maids, tryin' to act like you are from some different part of the society...i think when i get a house, you will have a job...as my maid!
#respectthemaid
4."Have you heard this new song by Drake?"
Anna: No.
X;Oh. TTYL
Now let me explain something to the people who hate my playlist. Unlike you i don't have Burn It Up..1 down, you can't even come back from that if we were in a battle. secondly, how is it beneficial to my livelihood how fast i get my music?? If i want to listen to Maroon 5's Songs about Jane, i will...and i will repeat all the songs ten times till the CD is too scratched and you can't do a thing about it. I played a few Bee Gees tracks the other day and the looks on the faces of the girls that were around showed repulsion. I wish i was twice as "local"-perhaps i'd understand them in their coolness as they blast Massive Attack...but if i remember good that is not a 2011 song...so....you were frowning..??
to be honest i never got the meaning of the word local but i guess its an adjective Ugandans adopted to describe the cool children of Gad!!!
