Breaking news:Michael Ross, Uganda's longest serving musician still has a Corolla that he had in 2000.
The poor man. I actually like his music...like that "issova now"(It's Over Now) song-it is the jam to play in the background when you are breaking up with this boy who just embarrasses you enough and takes pride in buying Warid lines only-NO SHAME. I was shocked to realise he still had one car-the silver Corolla he had when we were in P3...but i dont mind. As long as he can transport his goods and services from A to Z-issokay!!!
But somehow its not okay! That guy should have made a bit more money at least to get a better car. He is not showing that Ugandan artistes have forward integration. In fact recently i discovered my musical abilities while in the shower but this guy has not given me the strength to exploit this talent. Let's just say India wouldn't be the best market and i realised its better to work on your music while you are still young...like Dorothy Bukirwa-if you don't know her, tune in to Capital FM, you might find her song Nubian Queen as number one on the 8 to 8 countdown! She sang that one song, her tapes saturated the market, and now she has school fees for her relatives-Bright idea ay??
I think Keko is my best Ugandan artiste at the moment. She realised how GNL Zamba was swimming in profits for using local language and has also ventured into it, rightly reppin' that part of the country...which one???...i don't know but that one!! and her English is to be understood by Americans too, so if Akon comes back to Uganda, to sing and not make people's daughters pregnant, SHE MUST BE ON THAT LIST OF PERFORMERS together with NAVIO, TheMith, Anna Kakuba and TONYA.
BTW random question....where is Clever J? If you see him tell him i send him deds:Why you wanna go-Sean Kingston. It took the man a lot of work to get to Manzi Wanani and he just left me, his ardent fan in lights. Do you know how popular i got in the village for playing that song at parties, i could have been voted LC III chairman if i was of age! Sir, please come back.
Chilli girls:I will never forget the interview...So girls why do you call yourselves Chilli Gals??
Chilli Girls: HAHAHA presenter kyoka you man...it is because wiya HAT!
Finished! I wish Record TV was in India...Weekender,the most annoying show made my days!!! That man-i even remember his name, Moses Chopper, should just be paid for his services with a bonus. He gave me things to laugh about before i realised i could also break my own ribs!
Then there came the breed of beautiful girls, that win an award for touching themselves and their hair. HB TOXIC. I found their song All I Need quite catchy..in fact if i didnt love ployphonic ringtones id probably rave to...YO MA SWEETY SWEETY HONEY...WE STEP ON DA SCENE WIYA HAT HAT...you know...those things where you want to catwalk in the taxi park feeling the beat. But then they came with Going out tonight and ..ah..THE END..NEVER again in my life did i want their services.
But anyway as long as we have Sizzaman and all those rare people, ITS A GOODLYFTINGDIS!!!
